The HeadPod Head Support System is what the creators call "vertical dynamic head support"! The HeadPod Head Support System provides support to the head from above and allows rotational movement of the neck so that the user has better viewing opportunities within his/her environment. The HeadPod was designed to give individuals a "real world" upright visual field if they couldn't achieve this on their own. In addition, the HeadPod helps to decrease fatigue for individuals that expend a great amount of energy on head control. There are 4 styles to choose from. The Standard and Mini accommodate different head circumference sizes. The Pro Kit is great for use with multiple children by therapists in a school setting. The Max with Headrest Kit can be selected if a chair or stroller doesn't have a headrest or if the headrest needs to be replaced. The Philosopy of the HeadPod

The HeadPod Head Support System comes standard with a variety of mounting options. This makes it a universal head support that can be configured to fit onto most chairs, strollers, wheelchairs, standers, etc. (Occasionally a more creative mount may be required. Please consult your child's therapist(s) to help figure out the best option for your needs.) The initial assembly is simple and so is the day to day putting it on and taking it off. With adjustments to the Vertical Rubber Strap, you can adjust the amount of assistance that is given to the user. For those that require maximum support, you will want to limit the amount of movement of the head forward, back and tilting. For those that need less support, you can have more slack in the Vertical Rubber Strap to give the user more freedom of movement. And no matter the level of head support required, rotational movement is always available due to the vertical dynamic head support design.
