Guidecraft Geo Shape Lacing is a colorful, geometric new look for a classic lacing activity toy. Set includes 3 over-sized geometric lacing boards, 6 multi-colored thick laces, and 3 lacing creativity guides. Children can start using this set simply by learning the fine motor skill of lacing as one hand holds and stabilizes the board, and the other hand manipulates the lace. For some kids inserting the lace and pulling it through will be enough of a challenge for eye hand coordination. Once a child has that skill mastered, they can begin to experiment with color, patterns, letters, and pictures within the frames. Creativity guides offer suggestions which will bring problem solving and visual processing (the ability to see a pattern and then perform the fine motor skills required to create the pattern that is seen) into the activity. The creativity guides are also a great aid for teachers using this product in their classrooms.
