The Snugglesaurus is the newest positioning and playtime product from Freedom Concepts! Designed for children in early childhood, applications for use in Early Intervention Programs abound. This product is safe and appropriate for young children with all levels of ability.

The Snugglesaurus can be purchased without filling (unstuffed) or with a form fit Freedom Concepts Foam Fill (stuffed). Filler ideas for do it yourself stuffing include but are not limited to foam particles, bean bag filler, cotton batting, towels, or plush toys. What you choose to fill your Snugglesaurus with will help to create a sensory experience for your child that is just right.

The Snugglessaurus is comprised of five triangular shapes (“humps”) in a single, fun color of your choice. The shapes can be used separately or in combination. They attach together with heavy duty snap fasteners. Each triangle measures 8in. H x 11.5in. L x 13in. W (20.3×29.2x33cm) when fully filled. Together they create a 62 in. (157.4cm), over 5-foot Snugglesaurus! And that’s just the beginning. You can also choose to purchase single add on triangles (1-4) to “grow” your Snugglesaurus. When it comes to adding on, you can be creative and add in a new color. The outer covering fabric is 100% Polyurethane (PU). It is soft, flexible, breathable and feels like leather. It is easy to wipe clean and maintain. A Med Block Liner, impermeable to fluids, lies below the fabric and ensures that the fill for your Snugglesaurus stays clean and sanitary. A zippered closure on the Med Block Liner offers access to the fill.

With the Snugglesaurus, play time and therapy time quickly become one. Cushions can be used individually or in combination to support posture in all developmental positions- sitting, prone (lying on stomach), supine (lying on back), side lying, kneeling and quadruped (hands and knees). Because it provides an inviting sensory experience, the Snugglesaurus can also be used for activities that improve body awareness. Because it invites creative approaches to play and movement experiences, motor planning activities like use in an obstacle course are unlimited. The Snugglesaurus can also be stood on one end to create a soft barrier for a protected space to help improve focus or facilitate calming. The Snugglesaurus can be used to challenge developing gross motor skills. Children can challenge their skills creeping on all fours down the length of the Snugglesaurus. One cushion can be detached and placed under the Snugglesaurus to create an elevated center for climbing up and down. Standing balance and equilibrium can be challenged as a child walks across its “squishy humps”. A single cushion is also ideal for safely practicing stepping over an obstacle.
