Designed for use as an indoor or outdoor mobility system, this all-terrain pushchair easily glides through grass, gravel, over curbs, and sand. It comes with the traditional fixed front wheel. The fully adjustable sun canopy shields from any angle and the sophisticated harness system aids with positioning as do the adjustable footwells. The Axiom Special Needs Indoor/Outdoor Mobility Push Chairs accommodate children from approximately 9 years old and 50" (127 cm) in height to approximately 15 years old or more and approximately 64" (163 cm) in height. Maximum weight capacity is 200 lbs. A one-step adjustable H-harness is included to maximize trunk support while using the Indoor/Outdoor Mobility Push Chair. The seat angle is also adjustable from 0 to 30 degrees of recline to provide additional head and trunk support for children with mild to moderate physical involvement.

Unlike most all terrain strollers that contain a handbrake only, Adaptive Star being focused on safety, has also included a rear footbrake. This footbrake serves to keep the stroller steady while fastening and unfastening the child from the seat. The reflective fabric of the stroller is also a safety feature for parents out for a stroll at dusk in the spring and summer months.

The Axiom Improv Indoor/Outdoor Push Chair from Adaptive Star is an all-terrain, 3-wheeled jogging style mobility system for older children and young adults. It is designed to take you where no other ability push chair can follow. The Improv is offered in 2 sizes and accommodates children with mild to moderate physical limitations from approximately 9 years old and 50 in. (127 cm) tall to approximately 15 years old or more and approximately 64 in. (163 cm) tall. Maximum weight capacity is 200 lbs.

The Improv’s single action fold and easy open facilitates transport of the push chair. The Improv comes standard with quick release 16 in. alloy wheels and pneumatic tires. The front wheel is fixed to make moving over rough terrain-grass, gravel, sand and up over curbs-easy. An optional Front Swivel Wheel Axis Kit is also available for the Improv. The Axis Kit Frame fits into the fork which holds the front wheel. It provides the framework for two 8 in. swivel front wheels that deliver exceptional maneuverability on indoor surfaces and pavement. Please Note: The swivel wheel axis kit is not designed for running or use on gravel or grass surfaces.

The Improv also comes standard with a sophisticated 5-point harness system to secure the rider’s position in the seat. The seat has an adjustable back for fully upright sitting and recline up to 30 degrees. The footrest with straps on the Improv is fixed. Bend at the knee is 90 degrees. The sun canopy that shields from every angle is also standard. Unlike most all terrain strollers designed with a single handbrake, Adaptive Star with its focus on safety, has also included a rear footbrake. This footbrake serves as a parking brake to keep the chair stationary while transferring the rider into and out of the seat. The reflective fabric of the stroller is another great safety feature. The height adjustable push handle ensures caregiver comfort.
